Here's my statement. Kerala is the one of the most state, abusing captive elephants in India. An Captive Elephants parade in festivals is a phenomenon that has been happening in Kerala for many years. It still remains unchanged, 85% of Captive Elephants in Kerala have been brought from other states, especially from Bihar, Sonepur.
Asia’s biggest cattle fair organised annually during the month usually November. Cattle apart, captive elephants, horses and other animals and birds are sold at the fair. From the Sonepur Mela, a large number of elephants are paid to Kerala. After arriving in Kerala, For prepare parading, elephants will face most dangerous abusing from mahouts and elephant owners. Some elephants disobey the command, they will be persecuted and subdued in a great way.
It causes loss of damage, because Peoples are killed by that during Elephant rampage. Under the Supreme Court verdict, the elephants are not for sold. But In Kerala, There are a lot of sales going on beyond the law.
Only elephants are used to make money, The outside world does not know the cruel harassment in the elephant races in Guruvayur, Thrisur Dist. Any Captive Elephants will not participate in festivities without suffering, Captive Elephants are brutally beaten and cruel torture by the Mahouts during the parade in Temples, Church and Mosques.
Another phenomenon in Kerala, Captive Elephants participating force full Head lifting competitions. I've seen elephants brutally beaten by Mahouts in front of me. But I was helpless, most of Mahouts are drunken's, They were in such a situation.
To be Continued.....
